2024 Summer Camp Day Camp Themes
At Day Camp, campers make new friends, practice teamwork, and enjoy new, "unplugged" experiences in the natural world. Each week of camp has a unique theme with corresponding games, activities, and crafts. There's something new to look forward to every week plus weekly traditions! Every Wednesday is Dress Up Day where your kiddos can dress up in the full spirit of the weekly theme along with our camp staff, and every Friday is Water Day where kids can enjoy extra water-themed outdoor play, weather permitting.

Northwest Y

Week 1: May 22-24 Summer Bucket List Make the most out of your summer with Summer Bucket List! Plan your summer bucket list with a list of fun and exciting things that you want to do during the summer season. We will take a deeper dive into activities, events, and goals that are more specific to summer and may not be possible or as enjoyable during other seasons.
On Dress Up Day, dress as if you were going to do something on your bucket list! Maybe you're looking forward to baseball games, going to the beach, a family vacation to Disney, or hiking new trails during the warmer weather.
Week 2: May 28-31 Heroes in Training We’re brave and we’re bold! No villains stand a chance when they meet up with us. This week will be dedicated to our heroes.
On Dress Up Day, dress up as your favorite superhero or real-life hero, and come save the world with us as we learn what it means to help others and be a leader.
Week 3: June 3-7 Treasure Hunt "X" marks the spot! Get ready for a week-long treasure hunt with pirate-themed activities and scavenger hunts galore. We also might go explore for treasure right in the jungle! Dinos, caves, and much more are to be found when on a treasure hunt! Do you have what it takes to find the hidden treasure?
On Dress Up Day, dress as a pirate or as a jungle explorer and join the adventure!
Week 4: June 10-14 Gettin' Dirty Are you ready to get extra messy? You might need a change of clothes for this one! Whether you’re eating pudding with no hands, making slime, tossing eggs, or making a messy craft, you’re sure to have an ooey-gooey fun time!
On Dress Up Day, wear your best color-crazy outfit and come prepared to be extra messy on Friday!
Week 5: June 17-21 Aloha Summer Enjoy the first official day of the summer season this week. Summer is officially here and it's time to celebrate! Join us for a week of fun in the sun. We will have water activities of different sorts all week long.
On Dress Up Day, dress like a tacky tourist!
Week 6: June 24-28 The Y Olympics Light the torch, it’s time for the Y Olympics! Campers can delve into the Olympics, as we talk about the 2024 Summer Olympics starting during this very same week. Campers will even get to compete in their very own Olympic games throughout the week!
On Dress Up Day, dress as your favorite Olympian or favorite Olympic sport.
Week 7: July 1-3 Background BBQ You're invited to a backyard BBQ right here at camp! Enjoy feeling right at home while you play a game of baseball, participate in a watermelon seed-spitting contest, or join us for a patriotic dance party. The possibilities are endless on this feel-at-home adventure.
On Dress Up Day, show your American Pride by dressing up in your best 4th of July outfit!
Week 8: July 8-12 Where Dreams Come True Be our guest this summer as we dream, soar, and dive into a whole new world of Disney! Come explore all of your favorite characters, songs, and kingdoms this week from the classic animations to Pixar, Star Wars, and new live-action remakes. Wish upon a star with us as it’s sure to be supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
On Dress Up Day, dress as your favorite Disney character.
Week 9: July 15-19 Animal Planet Belugas, monkeys, and hedgehogs, oh my! Our beautiful planet is filled with unique and wonderful creatures. Come along with us on an animal adventure as we explore the vast array of critters our awesome planet has to offer including marine life, safari animals, woodland creatures, farm animals, and even insects!
On Dress Up Day, dress as your favorite animal. On Wednesday, will we get to see a whole zoo?
Week 10: July 22-26 Spirit Week We've got spirit, yes, we do! We've got spirit, how about you? This week we will participate in lots of different activities to see which camp group has the most spirit!
There will be dress-up days every day this week!
- Monday: Throw Back Day, dress as your favorite decade
- Tuesday: Twin Tuesday, dress the same as someone or dress like someone you know
- Wednesday: School Spirit, dress in your school colors and school shirts
- Thursday: Team Up Thursday, wear your favorite pro-sports teams and jerseys
- Friday: Field Day, be ready for water games!
Week 11: July 29-Aug. 2 Under the Big Top We're finishing summer on a carnival-themed bang! We will have a camp carnival on Friday complete with carnival-themed games, so save Dress-Up Day for Friday, August 2! Dress as clowns, ringmasters, circus animals, and any other carnival usuals in honor of this week's theme. Water Day will be Wednesday, July 31 instead.

Southeast Y

Week 1: May 22-24 Buggin' Out Join us for insectigations! Campers will learn about the secret life of our buggy pals. We’ll explore the good, bad, and buggly of our relationship with the insect world and reasons to love bugs. Rain or shine, indoors and out, our week will be filled with adventures and wonder.
On Dress Up Day, dress as your favorite creepy crawlies. We hope to see a whole insectarium with bees, butterflies, lady bugs, or maybe even cicadas!
Week 2: May 28-31 Down on the Farm Yeehaw! Come join us as we explore all things farm. From animals to barns to equipment, we’re sure to have a good time down on the farm at Y Camp!
On Dress Up Day, dress up as a farmer, cowpoke, or your favorite farm animal.
Week 3: June 3-7 Superheroes Superheroes, report for duty! Invisibility, flight, or super-strength, what would you choose? Grab your cape and soar into a world of imagination as we explore those that we admire, fictional or real, those that we aspire to be like, and find our inner superhero.
On Dress Up Day, come as your favorite superhero or real-life hero!
Week 4: June 10-14 Animal Kingdom Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! Who’s the King or Queen of the Jungle? Take a walk on the wild side as we adventure through the animals of different kingdoms. 
On Dress Up Day, dress as your favorite animal!
Week 5: June 17-21 Where Dreams Come True Be our guest this summer as we dream, soar, and dive into a whole new world of Disney! Come explore all of your favorite characters, songs, and kingdoms this week from the classic animations to Pixar, Star Wars, and new live-action remakes. Week 6: June 24-28 Under the Sea What’s lurking beneath the surface? Starfish, sharks, mermaids, pirates, and all things fishy come out to play, as your camper takes a deep dive into the deep blue sea. Come prepared to get wet as we’ll enjoy water games throughout the week.
On Dress Up Day, dress like your favorite sea animal!
Week 7: July 1-3 Sci-Fi This camp will inspire a sense of wonder and spark children’s curiosity. We’ll inquire into fantasy and imaginative and futuristic concepts including travel, transformers, teleportation, spaceships, and so much more!
On Dress Up Day, dress inspired by your favorite character in science fiction!
Week 8: July 8-12 Fairy Tales From the halls of Hogwarts to the magical land of Narnia, don’t get caught in Charlotte’s web, as we go on adventures from the realms and between the pages of our favorite books. 
On Dress Up Day, dress as your favorite book character or author.
Week 9: July 15-19 Color Me Messy! Roll up your sleeves or dress for a mess, prepare for a world of messy exploration! We’ll get gooey, we’ll get slimy, and we’ll immerse ourselves in messy art and activities.
On Dress Up Day, dress in your most mismatched outfit or wear the most possible colors at once.
Week 10: July 22-26 In a Theater Near You Ticket, please! This week is all about movies. We’ll explore campers’ favorite movies and characters.
On Dress Up Day, dress as a character from your favorite movie! How many stars will we see? Wednesday might be like a red carpet of your favorite figures brought to you by movie magic.
Week 11: July 29-Aug. 2 Carnival Come one, come all! Step right up and join us for a week-long carnival of fun, games, and laughter! We’ll have an obstacle course, ping-pong toss, potato sack races, face painting, and so much more.
On Dress Up Day, dress in your most bright, colorful, or silly clothes.
