Water Classes
In our water (aquatic) classes, you'll follow a trained instructor's exercises alongside other participants in the pool. These classes are open to participants ages 12 and older.
Benefits of Water Exercise
Aquatic fitness offers a variety of benefits, making it an excellent choice for people of all fitness levels. Some of its benefits include:
- Low impact: Exercising in the water places less stress on your joints and muscles, making it ideal for those with arthritis or joint pain.
- Increased strength and endurance: The natural resistance of the water helps to build muscle strength and endurance.
- Enhanced flexibility and balance: The buoyancy of water supports your body, allowing for a greater range of motion and improved balance.
- Improved cardiovascular health: Water workouts enhance heart health by providing a good cardiovascular workout without the high impact of land-based exercises.
- Stress reduction: Being in water has a calming effect, helping to reduce stress and improve mental well-being.
