Volunteer

Play with and help care for children, ages 6 months through 6 years, in Play and Learn, our drop-in childcare area.

Frequency: We're looking for ongoing volunteers to serve once a month, twice a month, or weekly.
Times: Varies throughout the week at both facilities—find Play and Learn hours here.
Location: Both Monroe County Y branches
Requirements: Must be 15 or older or have completed the YMCA Safe Sitter Course

This group of knitters, crocheters, and quilters come together each month to create handmade items on behalf of the Y for All Scholarship Fund.

Frequency: Usually once a month; more frequently in the fall
Times: Third Monday of each month, 1:00-2:30 pm
Location: Southeast YMCA
Requirements: None

Volunteers at the following annual events do everything from keeping race trails safe to hiding Easter eggs. We'd love to have your help! These positions are great for individuals and groups alike.

• Breakfast with Santa
• Santa's Workshop
• Y for All Gala for a Cause

These volunteers are the first friendly faces people see when they come through our doors and are responsible for greeting members, helping with check-in, and handing out towels and locks.

Frequency: Ongoing
Times: Monday-Saturday mornings
Location: Both YMCA branches
Requirements: Must be 16 or older

Coach a team in one of our many youth sports leagues.

Frequency: We’re looking for ongoing volunteers to commit to one or more teams for a season.
Times: Evenings for t-ball (summer), basketball (winter), and soccer (spring)
Location: Both YMCA branches
Requirements: Must be 16 or older
