COVID-19 Response
Monroe County Mask Mandate Rescinded on March 4, 2022
As we keep our facilities and programs open throughout the ongoing pandemic, we rely on direction from the Monroe County Health Department, Y-USA, Indiana Alliance of YMCAs, neighboring YMCAs, and other community constituents. Per the Health Order rescinded by the Monroe County Health Department on March 4, 2022, all Y members, guests, and staff are no longer required to wear a face mask, shield, or covering while using the Y facilities. In order to continue to protect the health and well-being of our staff and members, we have additional policies that will be enforced at the Y.
We deeply appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate the challenging circumstances related to COVID-19. We are all operating in unknown territory right now, and we are working as quickly as we can to keep you updated and address your questions. We will continue to assess the current COVID-19 situation and determine next steps as information unfolds. We will continue to provide details on our website, social media, and through email as the situation changes.

Monroe County Y Re-Opening Plans
We want to be there for you and our community as we all recover from this pandemic, and the following updates will help us accomplish that as we take steps to remain open. Please review our programming and facility updates prior to returning to the Y for the first time. We can't wait to welcome you back!
Help Maintain a Healthy Environment
Let's work together to keep the Y healthy and safe for everyone! We have worked hard to establish policies in order to maintain a healthy environment for our staff and members. In order to keep the facilities open, it is critical for you to follow these policies.
Masks at the Y
Based on directives from Monroe County officials released in March 2022, our Monroe County Y no longer requires masks for our Y members, staff, and guests. Please review our complete policies to help you prepare for your visit to the Y.
Community Response and Support
We’re continuing to serve our community in an effort to support those affected by COVID-19. In times like these, it’s critical that we work together as a community to lift those most impacted by health and economic challenges.
Sustaining Member
As a member, you’ve seen our commitment to our mission and building community. Thank you to those who stayed with us as we responded to the Indiana Stay-at-Home Order. As a thank you for maintaining an active membership while we remained closed from March 17-June 1, 2020, we offered up to $75 in programming credits.
Find a Virtual Workout, Youth Activity, or Healthy Living Exercise
Meet us in the Y’s Healthy Living Room. In an effort to make staying at home and social distancing as easy as possible, we've put together a variety of resources for you to refer to while at home. You'll find activities for preschool-aged children, at-home Group Ex classes, do-it-yourself tutorials, and more.
