Group Ex Classes
We're so much more than a gym! Our Group Ex classes offer something for everyone. If you ever find yourself getting bored with your routine, check out a Class Included in Your Membership or jump in the pool for some Water Fitness. The Y is yours to explore, enjoy, and make your own!
Registration for Paid Group Ex classes is monthly, so please register early to ensure your spot is reserved and you don’t miss any classes! Looking for a Group Ex class description? Please refer to our Group Ex schedule here, or visit our app!
What is Group Exercise?
In Group Exercise classes, you'll follow a trained instructor doing exercises alongside other participants. These classes are open to participants ages 12 and older.*
* To ensure the safety of our members, youth ages 11 and under are NOT allowed in adult group exercise classes. This includes sitting in the back of the room and babies in carriers of any kind. Youth ages 12+ can participate in adult classes as long as they are able to perform exercises as instructed.

Sign up for a Y membership
To join now, select your desired home branch, then follow the prompt to set up your YMCA membership. After completing your online registration, pick up your Y membership cards and have your photo taken at your nearest Monroe County Y branch. Please note: Your membership to the Monroe County Y includes access to both our Southeast and Northwest Y branches!
